🎹 suga • lost in memory
first love • nevermind • so far away
the core of a musician; with the first love of the piano, a producer who dreams of telling his story to the world through his music
going on layer up from ‘yunki’, this design encapsulates the bits and pieces that make up suga the artist. this pin revolves around the theme “dream”, with the core item being a keyboard, referencing not only his first love performance back during wings tour, but the piano he played during the d day concert (which was also a brown piano 😭) to put it simply, music is what i chose to be suga’s main theme.
with the keyboard at the top, i chose the the guitar pick at the bottom as a charm to reference his guitar playing during the concert. it has the hangul for “dream” written in yoongi’s handwriting, referencing so far away lyrics but also snooze because it borrow bars/lyrics. the music notes at the bottom right corner are the first several notes of so far away (minus the lines for the sheet music lol)
this pin is connected with the yunki pin by the song NEVERMIND symbolized by the butterflies; i felt like that was a song that tied both yoongi as a person & yoongi as a musician together (plus also was encore song 😭😭😭) the word “nevermind” will also be screenprinted on the keys as well.
tbh i never really expected to create a pink themed pin for suga LOL but tbh under his many layers, he is a really beautiful soul who speaks so candidly about his story through his music and i wanted it to reflect that side of him with this design 🥲❤️
- 2.5 inches ; hard enamel
- clear epoxy elements (piano) w/screenprint
- silver plated
- pearlescent effect on the white flowers
Please note: epoxy tends has a high flaw rate, please be aware that I will be grading that area in particularly loosely in comparison to the rest of the pin. the main issue with epoxy is mainly air bubbles & occasionally enamel or streaks on the back.
standard grade: equivalent to my past A/B grade pins & are the best out of the batch (please note that there will be minor imperfections due to manufacturing) these will generally have very few to none (0-3) air bubbles (in less noticeable places if they have)
second graded pins: have more noticeable flaws (but still are great for display) these pins usually have more air bubbles or larger issues with enamel fill.
