agust d • the chaser
haegeum daechwita , the last
what happens when you turn into the monster you thought you already killed?
it’s generally inferred that there are many songs in the past mixtape that came from a place of anger and frustration, but what happens when that anger burns out? does the cycle end or does it continue?
in the mvs for both daechwita & haegeum, we see that the cycle repeats itself with haegeum being a continuation of daechwita. which is why i chose the gun & chopsticks as the main items to represent agust d. wanted to do a black & white only pin a s a throwback to the monochromatic feel of the agust d mixtape as well 🤌
by now you can probably see that all three designs have flower/leaf motifs that were actually inspired by his mic for the tour! the designs are also present in his guitar & guitar pick tour merch as well and all of those will have pearlescent enamel in those areas to mimic the mother of pearl inlay. the charm attachment this time, is fire (also based off the enamel pin from the tour merch lol) but it was mainly included because there was a lot of fire involved with the concert sets, & it has been a recurring theme in the concert vcrs, and the hyyh series
while the other two designs, i chose the shape for aesthetic purposes, this design is a triangle to represent the three versions of himself; i think though, the ‘order’ i had this set originally was the opposite of the vcrs so it was actually starting with agust d & ending with yoongi because i wanted it to be like the concert set where he starts off as agust d, but as the stages & sets disappear, we are left with the rebirth of yoongi during encore.
during the concert, during one of his ments he mentions “i want to tell my story with less anger from now on” which was also what i wanted to touch upon in the set as a collective.
- 3 inches ; hard enamel
- clear epoxy elements (chopsticks) w/screenprint
- silver plated
- pearlescent effect on the flowers
Please note: epoxy tends has a high flaw rate, please be aware that I will be grading that area in particularly loosely in comparison to the rest of the pin. the main issue with epoxy is mainly air bubbles & occasionally enamel or streaks on the back.
standard grade: equivalent to my past A/B grade pins & are the best out of the batch (please note that there will be minor imperfections due to manufacturing) these will generally have very few to none (0-3) air bubbles (in less noticeable places if they have) or very minor areas of underfill
second graded pins: have more noticeable flaws (but still are great for display) these pins usually have more air bubbles or larger issues with enamel fill. *** for the agust D design, second grades mainly involve underfill enamel on the gun area *** (it's hard to photograph)
