[designed in 2021]: 轉 : the turning point
轉 part of 起承轉結 represents the turning point, or the crescendo of the story. This usually stems off a decision that kickstarts things that eventually lead to the story’s climax.
Joon’s UN speech talks about how music ultimately helped him re-find & rediscover who he is and regain his sense of self. It took him awhile to realize what was missing, but it was ultimately due that realization that kickstarted this part of his life.
This period of time usually involves a lot of self discovery & growth to an individual, and pairs with the previous part 承 which represent the process/hardships. Joon touches upon the hurdles BTS as a group had to endure during their rookie years. Yet together, they persevered, grew & now are able to do what they love because they were determined to create music that speaks to their listeners & help others overcome their own personal struggles. Joon in particular did a lot of self growth since their debut, from his own rebranding from Rap Monster to RM to reworking his own personal style (from do you to mono); He’s honestly one of my biggest inspirations from a growth standpoint because he’s been through so much & had to take a lot of the burden in their earlier years but was able to blossom into such a beautiful human being.
As he mentioned though, there will still be stumbles in life, but with the help of his members & the support of fans, that he will continue to strive to grow as a musician & human.
Out of all the pins in the series, this is the only one of the four that has a splash of color in the plant. (the rest are like my mono series & are black & white) I wanted it to kinda be a reminder that even if we may live in a monochromatic world, you’ll eventually find things that you love that bring color into your life- cherish those things that make you happy.
